The gelato shop took its name, and its running joke, from the dry cleaner that occupied the same 1934 Adams Avenue storefront before it: flavors are named after fabrics, so a taffeta or a twill might be mango and peaches one week and lavender with honey and oats the next, since the menu turns over every two to three weeks. The doors stay open until 11 most nights.
