Founder Teddy Khafif brought his background in New York's high-end sushi world to this kosher omakase counter on Lexington Avenue, where a 12-seat bar sits up front and lounge tables run toward the back. The kitchen builds out 10, 15 or 18-course tasting menus of nigiri and hand rolls rather than an a la carte order, certified kosher under Rabbi Avrohom Marmostein. Walking in trades the sidewalk noise for a quiet, loft-lit room.
