This basement jazz room on East 53rd Street packs a stage, a kitchen and a whiskey-and-sake list heavy enough to need its own card catalog into one small space. Live sets run nightly starting around 6pm, and the kitchen sends out cod roe spaghetti, okonomiyaki and fried brie alongside the music. There's no reservation line; it's first come, first served, with a cover charge that runs higher on weekends, and tables get bumped after two hours.
