Martiny’s

Takuma Watanabe, a Tokyo native and former head bartender at Angel's Share, opened this three-floor cocktail bar in 2022 inside a former carriage house that later served as an artist's studio. The name borrows from sculptor Philip Martiny, though it reads like a nod to the classic gin cocktail. Small plates include a silky scallop custard, tiny miso river crabs and a wagyu tartare finished with shio kombu and parmigiano, alongside drinks like a caprese cocktail built from whiskey, tomato water, grapefruit juice and milk. It ranked 15th on North America's 50 Best Bars list in 2025.
