At 1100 Orange Avenue, the Coronado Historical Association runs its museum from the historic 1911 Bank of Commerce building, gifted to the nonprofit in 1999 and opened to the public in 2000. Galleries cover Coronado's ties to aviation, the military and the Hotel del Coronado, alongside a current exhibit on nearly a century of San Diego Bay ferry service, and the archives hold over 20,000 photographs. Guided walking tours of the island run several days a week.
