Bacari North Park

A two-story yellow building on 30th Street spent thirteen years as Urban Solace before this Mediterranean small-plates spot took it over, opening the upstairs balcony to diners for the first time so a table there looks out over the street through iron scrollwork railing. Chef Lior Hillel, previously of Jean-Georges, runs a menu of house-baked bread, cured olives, lamb hummus, shawarma tacos and glazed pork belly, built for sharing. A 1,000-square-foot patio and an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list back a brunch that runs to French toast on house-baked brioche and chilaquiles.
