Cote Wine Bar

The French word for rib gives Cote its name, a nod to its start as a branch of Gargano and Charles's CorkMaster wine shop up the block. Its walls are paneled in wood from a 19th-century Rockefeller estate in Tarrytown, salvaged decades later from a Sleepy Hollow gravestone maker's workshop before Jeff Gargano bought it and built it into the bar. Katarina Charles, who started as a CorkMaster customer and later became a sommelier, keeps the list stocked with orange and lesser-known wines by the glass, backed by charcuterie and cheese boards and a faux fireplace. It opened in 2024 as the only wine bar in Riverdale.
