A green door with a paned window off York Avenue leads into a room hung with cookbooks, typewriters and landscape paintings that could belong to a house in the Mediterranean countryside. Bobby Dinu, a French-trained chef who cooked at Daniel before running JPMorgan's executive dining rooms, opened the wine bar in 2024 with his sister Madalina Iavarone. The kitchen keeps a tight seasonal list of four appetizers, four entrees and two desserts built around French, Italian and Spanish flavors, with wine by the glass and bottle alongside beer and coffee. Happy hour runs late afternoon into evening on weekdays and weekends alike.
