Flûte Champagne Bar

The building at 205 West 54th once held Club Intime, a Prohibition-era speakeasy run by the chorus girl Texas Guinan, and Flûte's owners nod to that history with 1920s music and drinks served in tin mugs. The underground room has no windows, just dim light, low tables and clustered ottomans built for close conversation. A hundred champagnes are poured by the bottle, another twenty by the flute, alongside a full bar and small plates meant for sharing rather than a meal on their own. Two-for-one champagne runs Tuesday afternoons, and live jazz plays most Wednesdays.
