Harlem Public

Chad Vigneulle, Lauren Lynch and Jay Janawsky opened Harlem Public in Hamilton Heights in 2012, filling a dark, vintage-feeling room with wooden booths and shared tables that spill into an outdoor seating area. Cocktails come in mason jars and water in old liquor bottles, alongside bar food built on odd pairings, such as peanut butter and brown sugar bacon on a burger. The bar skips reservations, so open tables go to whoever's on the Yelp waitlist first.
