Cerise Zelenetz, a designer and illustrator, opened this Bushwick wine bar with a business partner and put her own hand into nearly everything inside it: the red paint details on the walls, the menus, even a set of Italian marble cheese boards from a marble yard she knows. Upstairs is a rooftop of picnic tables where the pour of choice tends to be orange wine; downstairs is smaller and warmer, done up like the inside of one of her sketchbooks. The wine list runs funky and natural, priced to actually drink through, with a small food menu of pickles, cheese and salami. Bottles go half off on Mondays.
