Dockside Adventure Center

Kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes rent out of this dock at King Harbor in Redondo Beach, part of the Hotel Portofino, which also books scuba trips, deep-sea fishing charters, and guided kayak tours that go looking for sea lions and seabirds in the harbor's calmer water. Beer tastings, cocktail classes, and paint-and-sip sessions run out of the same center, which puts hotel guests on complimentary beach cruisers for an hour at a time.
