Gondola Getaway

The gondolas glide for about an hour down the Naples Canals, past bridges named the Accademia, the Ravenna, the Toledo and the Neapolitan East before reaching the 'Treasure Island' bridge, each boat carrying up to six passengers. The canals themselves date to 1903, when developer Arthur Parsons carved them into the Naples Islands as a Venetian-style neighborhood off Alamitos Bay. Add-on packages bring champagne, wine flights with charcuterie boards, or roses aboard, and cruises are booked online ahead of time rather than as walk-ups.
