Highland Park's Masonic temple, built in 1923 for Lodge No. 382 and now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, holds Lodge Room on its second floor, restored with its original wood paneling and a hidden trap door left over from Masonic ritual. Checker Hall, the restaurant built into the same building, serves food and drinks alongside its own live music; the room itself reopened as a concert venue in 2017.
