A converted bank building on the Sunset Strip became this club in January 1964, with the DJ perched in a cage above the dance floor. When a stand-in dancer began moving to the music during a Johnny Rivers set, the go-go dancing craze followed, and The Doors became the house band soon after, playing seven nights a week. Red leather VIP booths on the first floor seat two to eight in a room that runs all-ages every night, and the box office takes cash only, backed by an ATM on site.
