Wheel Fun Rentals

A shaded canopy tops the four-wheeled surrey bikes that Wheel Fun Rentals rents at the foot of Oceanside Pier, alongside tandems, beach cruisers, electric bikes and stand-up paddleboards. Every rental comes with a free helmet, lock, map and basket, and a half- or full-day rental includes a self-guided route out along the San Luis Rey River Trail. Started in 1987 renting surrey bikes, the company has since grown to more than 100 outlets across 16 states, though this stretch of the Strand still runs seven days a week with no reservation needed.
