A converted storefront in Liberty Station holds Pinot's Palette, a paint-and-sip studio where an instructor walks the room through a themed canvas: recent nights have covered "Moonlit Marigolds" and Van Gogh's "Starry Night." Sessions run two to three hours with a beer and wine bar pouring from the side, and everyone in the room has to be 21 or older under the state liquor license since outside drinks aren't allowed. Couples' classes get their own slot on the calendar, and Solare next door delivers food when its kitchen is open.
