Wild Hare took over an outdoor space at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter with a rabbit motif running through the design, down to a carved maple wood wall as the centerpiece. Executive chef Emiliano Sotelo cooks California cuisine using produce pulled from an on-site terrace herb garden, in dishes like roasted carrots with spiced goat cheese and pan-fried chicken paillard with poblano butter. Cocktails keep the theme going too, among them the Lucky Foot, built on Cutwater mezcal, carrot juice, lime and jalapeno.
