Encinitas Ale House

A small, family-run pub on Coast Highway in Old Encinitas, Encinitas Ale House has poured through hundreds of rotating beers since owner Tommaso Maggiore, who also runs Carlsbad Brewing Company, opened it in 2009. Regulars work toward the house's 80 Beers in 80 Days club, sampling from a list that runs to rare Belgians, sours and barrel-aged bottles alongside the standard taps. Bread gets baked fresh daily for the sandwiches and burgers, alongside poke, salads and mac and cheese.
