West End Bar & Kitchen

Across the street from the Los Penasquitos lagoon in Del Mar, West End Bar & Kitchen serves a seafood-leaning American bistro menu that runs from duck potstickers to flatbreads topped with pesto sausage, goat cheese and pear. Owner Sal Ercolano, who also runs The Godfather Restaurant, The Butcher Shop and Studio Diner, was named the Coast News' 2023 Restaurateur of the Year and regularly hosts wine dinners here, pairing dishes like duck carpaccio and short rib with bottles from producers such as Antinori. Both the covered patio and the dining room look out over the lagoon and ocean.
