True North Tavern

Opened in February 2009 by San Diego's Verant Group, this North Park tavern just off University Avenue changed hands in 2021 when owners Diah Asker and Ray Ibrahim, who also run Junction 52 Bar & Grill, bought it. The kitchen serves pub food -- burgers, loaded fries, salads -- plus a Sunday brunch, and the bar stocks local craft beer, cocktails and wine. Multiple TVs and a patio back a room that leans into weekend sports viewing.
