Heated, clear-walled igloos take over part of 230 Fifth's rooftop every winter, each one holding up to ten guests of the same party for a two-and-a-half-hour sitting. Inside, there's a small fireplace with a television built into the setup, working against the skyline view outside the plastic walls. Drinks run toward the seasonal end of the bar menu: mulled wine, Irish coffee, a hot chocolate spiked with something stronger, and an apple pie cider. Thursday through Saturday nights need a reservation booked ahead; weekday walk-ins are fine as long as the party is at least four.
