Below Air's Champagne Parlor on MacDougal Street, Tokyo Record Bar splits into two rooms: an upstairs cocktail lounge with an audiophile sound system and vinyl DJs, and a basement dining room painted with cherry blossoms and foxes. Downstairs, the Vinyl Jukebox Omakase seats diners for under two hours through a seven-course tasting menu built around Latin and Japanese flavors by chef Ignacia Valdez, with guests picking records off the shelf to set the soundtrack. Upstairs takes walk-ins for cocktails and bar snacks until midnight most nights, while the omakase runs on reservations through SevenRooms.
