About this spot

On our list of the best special-occasion restaurants in New York.

Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli, the husband-and-wife chefs behind Don Angie, opened this Greenwich Avenue seafood room with Quality Branded, leaning the design toward a 1970s Malibu beach cafe with a surf-rock soundtrack. Mussels come stuffed with 'nduja under a lemon aioli, and the farfalle is filled with chili crab. A deep-fried, katsu-style cut called the Steak Magazzino gets topped with pine nuts and an anchovy chili crisp. Reservations open a week ahead at 9am and go fast, but walk-ins can land a bar seat by lining up before dinner.
