Andy Quinn and Cedric Nicaise, who spent a combined fifteen years working under Daniel Humm at Eleven Madison Park, opened this Nolita restaurant on the corner of Broome and Mott built around a single idea: cook everything over live fire. The open kitchen keeps a roaring flame going in the middle of a dining room done in dark wood and brown leather. Grilled bread comes with yogurt butter, maitake mushrooms get skewered and charred, and a whole grilled Dover sole arrives in paprika-deviled butter. The round booths are made for groups, and reservations go through Resy.
