The Skylark

Thirty stories above the Fashion District, The Skylark keeps the Empire State Building and Times Square in view through floor-to-ceiling windows, from both the indoor bar and the open-air roof. Bartenders build cocktails around classic templates alongside a "dinner by the bite" menu of snacks and small plates. The rooftop doesn't take advance reservations because of weather, so a party without one waits at the communal bar inside, and the room is open to the public only Monday through Friday, with weekends reserved for private events. Business casual is expected, and it sits a few blocks from Madison Square Garden and the Theater District.
