Three floors at 248 West 55th Street hold Vida Verde's dining room, an upstairs bar and a rooftop topped with a mural of Frida Kahlo. Neon signs, rainbow umbrellas and a disco ball fill the main room, and the noise carries: expect to raise your voice over the music rather than have a quiet conversation. The kitchen serves birria with its own consomme, enchiladas poblanas in mole or salsa suiza, and a whole grilled red snapper alongside raw tuna tostadas. Weekday happy hour brings a Margarita Market with pitchers by the color, and mezcal and tequila cocktails run the rest of the night.
