7th Street Burger

Four things fill the menu at this East Village walk-up window, opened by founders Kevin Rezvani and Paras Jain in June 2021: a cheeseburger, a double, an Impossible burger and fries. The patties are smashed thin on a hot grill until the edges turn crispy, then topped with melted cheese and grilled onions on a soft Martin's potato bun. There's no seating inside and the sidewalk tables fill fast, so most people eat standing at the railing while a line forms behind them. Weekend hours run until 3am, catching the crowd leaving the bars nearby.
