Pearl Street

Chef John Coppola, a lifelong Brooklynite who ran a food cart in Dumbo before opening Bread and Spread in the neighborhood in 2015, opened Pearl Street in a converted 19th-century factory building in 2023. Ten stools line a raw bar counter set right against the kitchen, close enough that the cooking is part of the show. The tasting menu runs multiple courses built around New York's seasonal seafood, with an optional wine pairing alongside it. The room sits two blocks from the East River, under the Manhattan Bridge, on a block of converted warehouses in Dumbo.
