Bar Great Harry

On Smith Street in Carroll Gardens, this beer bar has outlasted much of what's opened and closed around it. An oddball, ever-changing lineup of craft beer, on tap and in bottles, keeps pouring regardless. Vintage and modern pinball machines line one side of the room, dogs are welcome at the bar stools, and takeout from a neighboring restaurant is fair game since there's no kitchen here. The best seats are the rough-hewn tables by the French doors that face Smith Street, where a few regulars are parked most nights for a slow round rather than a loud scene.
