Barcade Brooklyn

The original Barcade opened in 2004 inside a former metal shop on Union Avenue, pairing vintage cabinets (Donkey Kong, Centipede, Street Fighter, a row of pinball machines) with more than twenty rotating craft beers from small American breweries. High ceilings, heavy metal on the speakers and the neon glow of the screens keep the room dark in an arcade way rather than a moody one. Go on a weeknight for room to actually play; Friday and Saturday fill up with groups waiting their turn at every machine.
