Purgatory

A women- and queer-owned bar and venue on the Bushwick/Ridgewood line, Purgatory has run nightly from 6pm to 2am since it opened in 2019. Downstairs has red-lit alcoves furnished with old televisions and couches, decorated with what looks like patron-made art, while the stage and the crowd are upstairs. Shows run with a smoke machine and real stage lighting, usually a few acts to a bill.
