Owner Giovanni Pappas, who also runs Giovanni Venticinque near the Metropolitan Museum, opened Via Trenta on 30th Avenue in 2011. Exposed brick and dim, quiet lighting give the room the feel of a corner bistro transplanted from Italy. House-made pastas anchor the menu, including linguine nero ai frutti di mare and a truffle pasta, alongside carpaccio and a traditional ricotta cheesecake for dessert.
