THE GRILL

The Seagram Building's landmarked Grill Room, designed by Philip Johnson for the original Four Seasons Restaurant in 1959, now houses THE GRILL, with the chain draperies and Richard Lippold's suspended brass sculpture over the bar still intact from the old space. Major Food Group reopened the room in 2017 as a mid-century American steakhouse, built around a Prime Rib carved tableside and a Seagram Crab Cake that nods to the original menu. Service still runs on captains in the old hotel-restaurant tradition, and the wine list runs deep.
