This sushi counter is reached by walking into a smoke shop near Penn Station and Port Authority, then up an industrial staircase to what feels like a freight-elevator landing. Inside, two tables and a wall of exposed pipes leave little room for anyone who isn't picking up an order, and most of the business goes out the door as takeout, packed so the rice stays warm without turning the nigiri soggy. A shareable platter and a two-person omakase set sit above the cheaper lunch specials, and the fish arrives cut with more care than most delivery sushi gets.
