Tatiana

Kwame Onwuachi named Tatiana after his sister and built the menu around the Afro-Caribbean cooking of his Bronx childhood, folding in Nigerian, Jamaican and Puerto Rican flavors from the neighborhood he grew up in. The dining room, inside David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, uses glazed tile for the wet streets he played on as a kid, gold chain-link for the fences he used to hop, and three oversized cloud light fixtures overhead. Cocktails follow the same idea, working corner-store flavors like passionfruit and guava into classic New York drinks. It topped the Times' restaurant list in 2024, and a same-day table is close to impossible to get.
