Le Grande Boucherie

A semi-hidden pedestrian pathway called Sixth-and-a-half Avenue, threaded through building lobbies between 53rd and 54th Streets, leads to La Grande Boucherie's courtyard, where tables sit under a canopy strung with lights and ringed by greenery before you even reach the dining room. Opened in 2020, the interior runs under a glass ceiling with imported French plasterwork, styled as a cross between a Parisian brasserie and a steakhouse. The kitchen works in French classics: steak frites, beef bourguignon and coq au vin anchor the menu. The courtyard stays open year-round, heated under its own skylight.
