Chef Rodrigo Fernandini, previously of Michelin-starred kitchens in Silicon Valley, opened Artesano on Chambers Street in 2022 with a menu built around Peru's classics: ceviche, causa and lomo saltado, alongside a curried Amazonian fish. The dining room is dressed in a canopy of faux tropical leaves and rattan lamps, with a private room that seats up to ten around one round table. Mains range from a 48-hour marinated short rib dish to a 22-ounce ribeye built for two. Reservations go through Resy or OpenTable, and the kitchen adds a Sunday brunch service.
