A narrow room off Grove Street holds this café that Jody Williams opened in 2011, filled with vintage bric-a-brac until every table feels like a corner booth. Breakfast might be the better meal here: a croque madame, a waffle folded into a sandwich and pooled in butter and syrup, and steamed eggs worth the wait. Dinner runs to coq au vin and a lobster l'Americaine built small enough to look like a miniature pot pie. There's no reservation line to call; put your name in and expect to stand at the bar rail until a table opens.
