The Bar Room at The Modern

A marble bar anchors the Bar Room, the more casual half of The Modern, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant inside the Museum of Modern Art on 53rd Street. Walk-ins are welcome at the lounge tables or the counter, though reservations work too. Chef Thomas Allan's à la carte menu runs to scallops, sea bass with clams, and fried chicken finished with honey, with service carrying from late morning into the night.
