The L.A. Cafe

Downtown LA's Spring Street holds an order-at-the-counter spot, LA Cafe, that serves breakfast all day alongside tacos, sandwiches and a lobster mac and cheese. The kitchen works from scratch with local eggs and produce, and the menu runs across nine sections, from chicken and waffles to a Greek yogurt bowl and chia pudding. Seating is limited to a few counter and sidewalk spots, with a 24-hour delivery service handling much of the volume.
