In the Zaferia district, chef Alicia Kemper expanded her Buvons wine shop into a restaurant with a small dining room and a garden patio, after a month spent testing recipes in the kitchen. The menu blends French technique with California produce: sunchokes with radicchio, house-made ricotta with garden vegetables, seared scallops with celery root, and whole roasted artichokes with seasonal dips. Wine comes from the bottle shop next door, and the restaurant seats parties Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 11 p.m., with reservations taken on Resy.
