(4)About this spot
On our list of the best wine bars in Los Angeles.
Calin Senciac and his partner Marina, a certified nutritionist, spent three years planning this Main Street cafe before opening it in 2020 as a genuinely zero-waste operation: nothing here goes in a trash can, and compostable scraps travel every other day to a facility the owners built themselves in Vernon. The kitchen sources bread from Lodge Bread and produce from Weiser and Finley Farms for a short, rotating breakfast-and-lunch menu, paired with single-origin coffee and biodynamic wine. Wooden tables sit both inside and along the sidewalk out front, on a block Senciac chose for feeling more cosmopolitan than the rest of the city.
