Patrick, a baker from France, works from his grandparents' recipes, which trace back to 1932, alongside his wife, Kaity. The counter fills with croquembouche towers, strawberry tarts, canelés and quiche, plus croissants in both sweet and ham-and-cheese versions. The cafe runs on preorders to cut down on waste, with a walk-up counter and a patio out front on Catalina Avenue. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and Tuesday orders go out by appointment only.
