About 20 farmers set up for the first Tuesday market here in 1985; by the time Saturdays were added in 1992, that had grown to 45. The market still runs both days, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Charles H. Wilson Park, with roughly 60 California farms bringing produce, cut flowers, honey, eggs, and fish. Food vendors sell gelato, popcorn, fresh bread, and other prepared foods alongside stalls of nursery stock and baked goods.
