A covered patio on a quiet stretch of Cañada Blvd draws strollers, pitbulls and script pitches alike, the kind of crowd that has made this corner of Glendale feel like an outpost of Silver Lake. The sandwich list runs to a BLT with heirloom tomatoes and a tuna melt griddled with muenster on thick-cut bread, alongside maple cream-topped matchas and pastries from Sugarbloom that tend to sell out before 11am. Beer and wine are also on offer, though the kitchen closes by 4pm.
