Stained glass, white cherub statues and paintings of Italy line the dining room, along with an autographed photo of Madonna, at this Barrington Court trattoria open since 1975. Suited waiters brush the tablecloths between courses and bring garlic bread on the house before Dover sole in a garlicky white wine gravy, al dente Chicago rigatoni with sausage, or the special meatballs. Owner Gianni Paoletti built the wine list over five decades, with Italian bottles that run cheaper than the food.
