Bingsoo and taiyaki have drawn a line at 4th and Western since 2014, when the cafe opened as Anko by Serve O before changing hands in 2016. The draws are bingsoo, Seoul-style shaved ice, feather-light and tasting of condensed milk, and taiyaki, fish-shaped pastries with a mochi-like center filled with red bean or custard. The minimalist room blends into Koreatown's run of similar cafes and doubles as a quiet spot for laptop work. It's also a common stop after Korean barbecue, when the table wants something sweet before the check.
