A side entrance and a run of outdoor patios lead into this Glassell Park wine bar, on a block anchored by the decades-old Verdugo Bar, before opening into a room lined floor to ceiling with bottles and wine books. Husband and wife Chris and Christy Lucchese run the kitchen and the list together, pairing small plates like grilled mushrooms in miso-honey butter and ahi tuna tartare against bottles from producers most drinkers won't recognize. Seating splits between a bar that runs half in one room and half in another, plus a back patio and front courtyard built for larger groups.
