Chef Sebastian Becerra named this cafe for the California burritos he ate after surfing Windansea Beach, and the connection turns up on the menu as a lomo saltado breakfast burrito wrapping beef, onions, tomatoes and fries into a morning meal. The 1,400-square-foot space on Fay Avenue carries art from his family: a ceramic light installation by Joe Skoby, a tapestry knitted by Julia Becerra, and a painting from his grandmother in Peru. The kitchen otherwise leans into Peruvian home cooking, ceviche and protein-heavy plates reworked for an all-day cafe. It opens for breakfast and lunch daily except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
